Description
The Świętokrzyskie Pilgrims" Rally is Poland"s largest one-day hiking event. Every year, at the foot of Święty Krzyż almost four thousand people come together. There is a selection of fourteen routes, staffed by 120 Świętokrzyskie guides. The Rally routes traverse the most picturesque backwoods of the Świętokrzyskie National Park and the Jeleniowski Landscape Park. At the end of the Rally, participants attend an open-air mass, with sermons from bishops of the Kielce and Sandomierz Dioceses. The aim of the Rally is to restore the long-forgotten tradition of family pilgrimages to the Holy Rood Shrine at the Łysa Góra monastery.
